What Are Different Types of Hand Strapping Tools?

Greenbridge Hand Strapping Tools

The Evolution series from Greenbridge are Battery-powered hand strapping tools that provide a friction weld seal.  Friction weld tools use friction to seal the straps together, no externals fasteners or glue needed. Available in a different models with varying tensioning force and a range of strap widths and thicknesses.

These fully automatic, battery‑operated hand strapping tools are smart‑technology enabled so all setups can be done on a smart phone or tablet.

Fromm High-Performance, Battery Operated Strapping Tools use the latest strapping technology. These tools are field ready for polypropylene and polyester strapping and will consistently deliver superior performance and reliability for your strapping needs. 

Fromm P328 Battery Powered Strapping Tool

Battery Powered P328, P329 & P331

These Fromm battery-powered, hand-strapping tools prioritize simple one-handed operation and are fully covered for finger protection. Control tension force and sealing time with simple knobs and shift between semi-automatic or automatic operation at the touch of a button.  Available in 3 different models:

P328: High tension force up to 2600N / 585 lbs
P329: High tension force up to 4000N / 900 lbs
P331: High tension force up to 7000N / 1575 lbs, can replace heavy steel strappin applications

Fromm Pneumatic Hand Strapping Tools

A universal strapping tool for PET and PP strapping, these tools are ideal for a wide variety of vertical and horizontal strapping positions and suitable for almost all applications in various industries. Pneumatic hand strapping tools are powered by compressed air so are more resistant to heat, dust and moisture.

Pneumatic P357 & P358

The Fromm P357 and P358 cover a wide range of strap widths from 12mm to 19mm and thicknesses from .016” to .053.” With a seal efficiency of over 75%, they have the ability to pull up to 900 lbs and are ready for the most demanding applications.

  • Choose your own operation mode – manual or semi-automatic – using the external selection screw
  • Easy strap threading – both straps are inserted together
  • Sealing time and strap tension are easy to adjust
  • Strap tension can be blocked for a consistent seal result
  • Compressed air can be connected to the tools either on top of the main housing or at the rear end
  • A signalization pin shows you the end of each strapping cycle, to warrant an optimal seal cooling time 
  • For packages with a rough and hard surface, a bottom-base wearing plate is available as accessory
  • In cases where soft packages are to be strapped, a plastic bottom-base protection plate is available
