What are the different types of Shrink Film?

Polyolefin Film from Intertape - Exlfilmplus

Exlfilmplus® films are crosslinked. The “plus” of crosslinking provides a stronger film capable of working on a wider variety of equipment and sealing systems.  Polymer chains are permanently bound into a network, significantly increasing their heat stability and strength. Prevents buildup on wires and knives during sealing and film burn-through in heat tunnels.

Polyethylene and PVC Shrink Films

 Polyethylene Film

Polyethylene  Film

A polymer made from ethylene, available in several forms like LDPE (low-density polyethylene) and HDPE (high-density polyethylene).

  • Extremely durable and tear-resistant
  • Lower shrinkage rate
  • Can handle heavier products - ideal for bundling products together.
pvc film

PVC Film

A plastic polymer made from vinyl chloride monomers, PVC film shrinks well at lower temperature making it well suited for lighter weight retail goods.

Also available in efficient options for more manual operations:

  • Shrink Bags pre-sealed on three sides - for use with heat guns
